Woodnesborough Church.
This is the old Church that stands on the "Mount", at the top of Foxborough Hill, the highest point in Woodnesborough. According to Edward Hasteds "History of Kent" 1778, John De Shelvins manor house stood very close to the Church which along with Churchgate Farm formed the Manor of Shelving in tudor times. Hasted also says a John De Shelvin held the manor in the 4th year of Edward III.
